Frame Software (USB)

Click the download button below to download the Canviz USB frame software image file and then write that image file to a USB drive with sufficient capacity (this will wipe out anything already on the card).

How to Write the Frame Software:

  1. Install Win32 Disk Imager (Windows), you’ll use this to write the image file to your USB card.
  2. Unzip the zip file that you downloaded here, you’ll be using the ‘.img’ file inside. If you’re using windows you can right click the zip file and choose ‘Extract All’.
  3. Insert the USB drive into your computer, ignore messages about formatting, and open the Disk Imager software. Use Disk Imager to open the ‘img’ file that you downloaded here (that has ‘USB’ and the correct drive size in the name). Click the ‘Write’ button. If the capacity of your drive is larger than the image you use, that’s fine and later on you’ll just need to ‘expand’ the storage partition so that you can make use of that extra space. Don’t use a drive with a capacity smaller than the image you have.
  4. It should take around 30 minutes to finish writing to the USB drive. Once it finishes close Disk Imager, and then safely remove the USB drive from the computer. The USB drive is now ready to insert in your Pi.
