    I was able to monkey around with my wireless access point and temporarily set a password – then the app was able to successfully connect and I was able to leverage all the features of the frame (as much as I could tell).

    So I guess what I am describing above (the ability to configure the router without a password is more of a feature request – users should have that option.

    Is there any way to configure the app to accept a blank router password (i.e. I do not have a password setup on my router)?

    Thank you, I just tested and it appears to be working, HOWEVER, now I have a minor issue (bug) with the mobile app. During the setup (and later in the options) it does not allow me to have a blank router password. I do have not any security set up on my router (long story, but my home is fairly isolated and it’s just easier all around to keep it open).

    Aside from changing my router settings, if there any way to configure the mobile app to connect to my router sans password?

    Will going into the “Developer Tools” on the App and hitting “Reset App” do the same thing as uninstalling/reinstalling? Because I tried that and I was still unable to connect to BLE.

    I have tried both – first using the Canviz app, then simply going into Settings…Bluetooth to see if I could see anything. Neither (obviously) worked.

    No luck removing the wifi adapter; bluetooth on the phone still cannot find the BLE. The LED on the adapter illuminates periodically – that’s the only feedback I get.

    Hello!

    I was able to try the new images and I believe we have made a little progress. I was able to boot up, see the splash screen and see images start to cycle – I was unable, however to locate/setup the device from my iPhone. I did see one error in the boot sequence which I have included in this short video.

    Crap, sorry I misread the above, believing that the images were updated. So, for the record, the current images still do not work for my hardware. ;)

    Ah, got it – I’m old school, so when I think “firmware” I think “hardware”. Anyway, if it helps I also sent an email with the back of the device with more detail of the SDRAM card and such.

    Hello all:

    Since firmware is being called into question I went ahead and booted into Raspian to check and update the RPi firmware. It is at 4.4.48+. I then tried to load the Canviz SD image and was met with the same results: no boot.

    Let me know what else I can help test.
